With this practice, one makes a connection to Maitreya Buddha. It is simple, complete and effective for today’s modern individual.

White Mahakala

The White Mahakala deity is the wrathful aspect of both the Four Armed Chenrezig and the Thousand Armed Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara), the bodhisattva of Compassion. The main role of the White Mahakala is to help people overcome diffculties and hardship (particularly in this degenerated time) so as to assist them to attain enlightenment within a short period of time. !is is important for those sentient beings facing short life spans. The White Mahakala protects one from fear of death and from pain and fear at the time of death and in the bardo state. He can magnetize wealth to those in need, provide assistance to the helpless and food to those who suffer in hunger.
He can eliminate all obstacles in our lives and all enemies to the development of our spirituality. The White Mahakala is the most widely revered of all wealth deities for its effectiveness and blessings.

Black Manjushri is the wrathful healing form of Manjushri that helps us to heal our deep inner negative emotions and mental suffering that arise due to sickness or problems; it is also a powerful antidote against the harm and disturbances caused by negative astrological influences. It helps us to confront and deal with the negative emotions, such as anger, depression, fear and denial, which arise when we are challenged by such diseases or when we are confronted with problems in our daily life.

Dear Friends
Lama Rigzin is visiting to continue his teaching on the Bodhissatvas Way of Life. He will be teaching Chapter 8 on Concentration.
Chapter 8 (Samten Tenpa) is one of the most important chapters of the Bodhisattvas Way of Life because it recognises our ordinary and ever distracted mindset as a source of suffering and bewilderment. It inspires us to awaken a stable mentality (samten) by developing a strong altruistic intention through meditations such as exchange of oneself for others as well as tranquil abiding.
The books author Great Master Shantideva presents clear and graphic guidance on the noble path Bodhissatvas must tread. His assertion is that true and great happiness arises from altruistic intention and wise actions. Alternatively recognising that ignorance and self cherishing create suffering and sadness.

Lama Rigzin has been studying texts such as these from childhood as a monk. He is now integrating these teachings into his life as a layperson , Buddhist teacher ,translator and father.
“The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion.

“Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity. Buddhism answers this description.

If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs, it would be Buddhism.”
