TRUNDLE TO NUNDLE REPORT
Illustrated by photos in succession

1.We wandered through the grand Victorian mansion of Belltrees which was a joy to view with its magnificent period furniture, family historical artifacts, and winning cups and ribbons for sheep, cattle and horses.

2. The small chapel on the property has many memorials to the forbears of the White family. Services are held every Christmas and Easter, as well as family weddings.

3. Ron Dillow celebrated his 80 birthday on our first day. Ask him about his Nundle Socks !

4. It
s called FROST ! We woke to the coldest Nundle day since last winter.

5. Bob Edwards tries his hand at gold panning.

6. At Mount Misery Goldmine, we went underground and saw the way gold was made into bricks for easy and secure transport.

7. At the Nundle Woollen Mill we saw the working antique machinery (1912) and all the processes used in producing woollen yarn. We all bought a variety of woollen garments as well as 23 pairs of Nundle socks !!

9. Bob Edwards had his 78 birthday on Thursday 12.

10, 11. A chilly morning tea at Sheba Dam. It snowed early that morning, but after the sun came out, we only saw little patches in the shade.

12. After a tour of the Arc-en-Ciel Trout farm, we enjoyed a delicious trout lunch. The table was decorated with autumn leaves, which we saw everywhere in the area.

13. Jack Jones tries his hand at shearing after a great informative demonstration.

14, 15. Our party night was a
Pioneer Woolshed Gathering at the DAG Sheep Station, and everyone dressed accordingly. After an excellent spit roast dinnerWe had much fun with 19 century fun - bush dancing, bush poetry, pass-the-parcel, barn dance and quiz.

16. The finale was the Barbershop Quartet !!

17. The First Fleeters Memorial Park at Wallabadah was set out so well, and of great interest.

18. It had particular interest for Phil and Judy Aubin, who found the names of their forbears.

19. Sacred Spaces at the Sisters of Mercy Convent, Singleton was a special treat for Kevin Carr, where his sister, a retired nun there, now 93, joined him for lunch. Joan Gesell also was revisiting her childhood boarding school, with very happy memories.
