Translator Plug-in for Trillian Pro

This page is for Trillian users who wish to have their incoming messages automatically converted to other languages!!

Instructions

  1. Unzip DLL file to your plug-ins dir
  2. Load the plug-in into Trillian
  3. Go into the preferences
  4. Select your conversion server (Altavista or Google)
  5. Set your local language
  6. Set each contacts language if it is different from yours by selecting the contact and changing the Contact's Language box
    Click ok
     

You can also set the language of a contact by right clicking in the message text typing area of an open window for that contact and selecting Translator Options for ...

All messages received from that user will be displayed as they were sent first, periodically a message will be sent back (displaying it in your window as well) converted from that users language to the local...

NOTE: If you get Conversion Start Not Found OR Conversion Method Not Found errors, try a different server,
if this fails to fix the problem please let me know via the thread on the Cerulean forums for this plugin
under the Plugin Development Forum.

* Fixed Altavista server from not working..

* New languages for Altavista, and Google added (Including Dutch as requested)
* Now supports UniCode languages, but only when the other end is using a UniCode capable messenger
ie. If you chat to somebody who uses MSN Messenger and has a language of Chinese, you can
chat to them, the only drawback is that when the outgoing message is converted and
sent to them you will see the message which will appear in trillian as boxes.

Unzip DLL file to your plugins dir
Load the plugin into trillian
Go into the preferences
Select the server that you wish to use (Google can be more reliable, AltaVista contains more conversions)
Set your local language
Set each contacts language if it is different from yours by selecting the contact and changing the Contact(s) Language box
-- ## NEW: Check the "Convert Outgoing" box for each of your contacts that dont have this plugin or arent using
Trillian PRO. This will cause your own messages to be converted back to their language as well.

Click ok

If you have checked the "Convert Outgoing" box for a user and you send them a message, the message will be sent first as is, periodically another message will be sent (displaying it in your window as well) converted from the local language to the users language.
