Welcome - whether you've arrived here by choice or accident, thanks for visiting this website.
The following galleries are a selection of some of MY favourite photos - I hope that you'll find one or two here that appeal to you as well.
The photos you will see have been divided into five broad categories - "Caves" (and Caving), "Landscapes" (and Seascapes), "Cityscapes", "Other" and "Music". As my photographic interests develop (pardon the pun!), I hope that these collections (and the categories themselves) will expand accordingly.
There are also a couple of galleries dedicated to entries in the Pakenham Show - I've entered photos in this particular show for the past three years with some success, and these galleries house those photographs.
Apart from the caving photos, almost everything here has been taken on digital - I just love the freedom of being able to shoot as much as I like without the expensive consequences of film, printing and developing. If you're interested, I use a Nikon D50.
Because I've been caving and doing cave photography for about 19 years (firstly using a mid 1950's Praktina SLR and a Ricoh KR-10m SLR), many of my cave photos have been done on either print or slide film. Because of the quality of the scans, some of the older caving pictures haven't been reproduced here as well as they might otherwise be and I hope to re-scan them at some stage.
Anyway, once again, thanks for dropping by - I hope you enjoy the pictures. If you have any comments, please feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
21st March 2009 - Pakenham Show Results...
Three of us submitted entries in this year's Pakenham Show - with a total of 13 entries submitted by Brett, Matt and Drew. Andrew managed to get a Third Prize in the Junior (9 years and under) category, and Brett won two Seconds, two Thirds and two Highly Commended awards in the Open category. Unfortunately Matt had no luck this year in the photography section, but took out a trophy in the Ceramics section. Stephen also managed to win a trophy for his decorated Marie Biscuits. See the special Pakenham Show 2009 gallery for all the pictures!
18th November 2008 - Music Gallery added..
I've always wanted to have a go at photographing at a live music gig, and finally had the chance a couple of weeks ago at Geoff Achison's "comeback special" gig at the East Brunswick Club, Carlton. I'm pretty happy with the results - see them in the "Music" gallery.
