SF Movie
Tour
After
the confusion of being put on the
wrong tour the previous day, Lisa was able
to book us on a special new Movie Tour of
SF. This tour takes you to all the best places
plus shows you where all the big movies are
made and shows you the scene on a TV at the
same time. We saw:
After a lot of running between cable cars
and trams, etc we still missed the boat to Alcatraz
by about 2 mins and had to go on standby. The one problem
about SF transport is that it leaves when the cable driver
feels like so you may be late!!!!
We did some shopping and purchased
jackets for us all as it got so cold.

- the spot where Kim Novak jumped into the water and Jimmy Stewart saved her in Vertigo
- the house where Robin Williams’ family lived in Mrs. Doubtfire
- the various locations from the famous chase scene in Bullitt
- the building where Christian Slater interrogated Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire
- the apartment Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall used in Dark Passage
- the alley where a killer offed Sam Spade’s partner, Miles Archer, in The Maltese Falcon
- the damaged park steps from the car chase in What’s Up Doc
