There is a 5 day cooling of period during which other current {FB} Clan members will monitor the playing style and attitude of the pending member. If after five days there have been no negative reports posted in the message board on the FB_FarCry group, then one of the moderators will accept the new membership. If there have been negative reports then the moderators will discuss the severity of the reports and decide as to the acceptance or refusal of membership on a case by case basis.

Clan TAG

The {FB} clan has a standard tag. It is the letters '{FB}' all in red.

To get this type $4{FB} into you player name in FarCry followed by your choice of name and colour(s). A name shall be considered valid as long as a majority of the members do not have objections. No name shall be of an offensive nature. In such occasions of invalid name choice, you will change your name to a valid choice.

1. NO CHEATING

·        No {FB} member will cheat*, store cheats (even for evaluation or learning purposes) or associate with cheaters.  Any mod being run by a member shall be declared on entry in to a game, and shall be declared to any person making an enquiry during the game as soon as possible, subject to the tactical situation.

·        No {FB} members will glitch**.  Any {FB} member will actively avoid glitches he or she know= s, finds or is informed about and shall notify the clan of any new glitches wh= en found.

·        No {FB} member shall use observer mode to spy on enemy positions for a member participating in a game.

·        Dropping explosives at the flag station is regarded as a legitimate tactic; rocket spamming is to be avoided whenever possible, as it is unsporting.  Rockets are to be used primarily for bringing down defences.  Rocket spamming from an Ammunition Supply Point is to be regarded as glitching.

·        In some maps, a partially constructed gate will create an obstacle for vehicles which cannot be destroyed.  This is to be regarded as a glitch, and {FB} members shall not leave such gates partially constructed for the purpose of creating an indestructible barrier.

·        Flag sitting*** is to be regarded as a glitch.  The game is intended to be played in three sections; flags not yet in play are not legitimate targets.  Exceptions are:

Attackers circling around for a rear attack on an active flag, at the time the active flag is taken. Attacker destroying defences at the inactive flag station at the time the active flag is taken. These players may make an attempt at the newly activated flag, but no {FB} will sit at an inactive flag with the intent of making a flag capture. An engineer may build defences for inactive flags, and these defences are legitimate targets for attackers at any time.

*) Cheat: any alteration of the official game code and associated files or any utilization of a programme that is meant to alter the behaviour of the game in a way that either gives an advantage to players using it or gives a disadvantage to players not using it.  Examples: wall hacks, no-recoil, extended armou= r, extended ammunition, radar that detects the enemy.

·       **) Glitch: use of any be= haviour of the game that is either undocumented or unintended by the manufacturer in order to increase one’s own personal performance or decrease the performance of others.  Example: glitches in walls

·       ***) Flag sitting is considered in effect if an attacker is present in an inactive flag zone for more than = 30 seconds with no defenders present. Once defences have been removed the attacker must return to the active combat zone.

·        Awards will be handed out based on the following sorted principles:

  a) Dedication

  b) Conduct

  c) Teamwork

  d) Performance

Assessment of a member's performance shall include their point scores, but these shall have a low priority, as people often score high by ignoring the needs of their teams.

8. PRIVACY

·        {FB} intends to collect no personal information about it’s members.

·        All data {FB} submits to a member is to be kept secured and not accessible to any other person unless the data is explicitly declared public.  This especially includes server IP’s and passwords, other members' private email addresses and data that is protected from public access by passwords.
