About us

Weekend Italiano is the evolution of a project which began a couple of years ago.

Noticing the lack of opportunity to learn Italian outside the institutional circuits of schools and universities, a group of experienced language tutors and trainers organised a series of full immersion in-residence Italian Camps.

We wanted to create an arena for creative and non-conventional but highly effective workshops. Instead of a classroom formula, we wanted students to learn more dynamically by engaging in real activities such as playing Italian card games or writing and performing a teatro dell’arte piece.

Feedback was excellent in terms of language learning, cultural immersion, meeting people, and enjoyment. Participants of all ages and abilities improved their Italian, engaged in activities and had a lot of fun.

Weekend Italiano draws on the experience of the Camps, offering a relaxed learning environment but with more flexibility as many people don’t have the time to attend a full residential weekend.
