Pittwater Camera Club members, along with members from Dee Why, Mosman & North Sydney
camera clubs, were treated to a very special evening on Monday 1st September with a presentation by well
known Australian photographer & publisher Peter Eastway.
Peter gave a presentation of his unique art form, with a slide show of some of his wonderful photographic images
taken from all around the world. He also captivated the audience with his masterful demonstration of some area's
of Adobe's Photoshop digital imaging programme.
Of special interest was Peter's theme for the evening of doing the *Research* - having the *Passion* & being *Creative*.

March 31st, as on our program, Dennis Jones will be at the club to to do a presentation on Digital manipulatiuon in Photoshop.
This will be in the form of a workshop using member's images.
As you know, Dennis Jones has expertise in wildlife photography and owns a travel business"Wildlife Safari Consultants"
Over the years he has led many groups to India & Africa. He also runs special group tours for camera club enthusiasts.
Dennis also teaches Digital Photography and Photoshop at the Manly Warringah Community College. He is also the President of the newly formed Dee Why RSL Camera Club.

Pittwater Camera Club celebrated its 40th Anniversary on the 4th December 2006.
About 50 photographers watched as Betty Shepherd, a founding member, cut the cake.
A great time was had reminiscing the changes over the years.
The digital era has made it easier to produce images - no more chemicals or darkrooms!!
Pittwater Camera Club has invested in a Digital Data Projector, which , with Pro Show Gold Software, is capable of remarkable Audio Visuals .
The Print and Slide of the year was held on the same night (see images below). Bob Hunting took out both the Monochrome and Colour Print of the Year - Phil Oswald the Small Print and Frank, a new member ,taking out the Slide of the Year.
In the New year which starts on the 22nd January, We will be showing DVD's and Digital displays. |
