PEACOCK BOX

Description: During the Victorian era peacocks became a very popular ornamentation motif, appearing very often in interior design, all types of furniture, stained glass and, of course, in fretwork.

This box is a late example of this trend.

It shows peacocks on the sides and lid, surrounded by branches and leaves. The design is completed by two small mirrors on the sides of the lid

Constructed with New Guinea Rosewood, finished with clear gloss polyurethane.

Designer: The pattern is a complete reconstruction by Pedro Lopez Rodriguez, Seville, Spain, of an old English design.
