
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese health exercise & affords a deeply pleasurable experience.
It emphasises a continuous circular breathing pattern,
the letting go of your breath is the beginning of the coming in.
Tai Chi we call the breath energy the ‘Chi’
Tai Chi movements are slow & smooth, thus the body & breath flow in harmony.
The essential qualities of the art are slowness, lightness, clarity, balance & calmness.
There is no age limit to Tai Chi-it has no political or religious connotations & with continued practice it becomes a joyful way of life.
Our teacher is from the Australian
Academy of Tai Chi & teaches a modified Yang style & this in turn branches out from Chan style.
The majority of people who practice this art find it enhances their quality of life.
