Our Chinese New Year
This year is the Year of the Dragon. We celebrated the Chinese New Year from the 30th January at Girrinbai.

There are many different types of lanterns. |

We look at some Lait See Money Pockets. Money is placed in the pockets and given to family and friends. |

Lyn tells the children about how we write from left to right but
the Chinese write their characters from top to bottom.

Lyn hides the small Dragon under the blanket so we can make some magic. |

Lyn gets the children to close their eyes and make a wish. I wish that the dragon will grow big. We then blow our magic to the little box. |
