During our outdoor play time we provide a variety of developmental activities to help the children to play socially with their peers , explore the natural environment , refine and practice new skills and exercise their large and small muscles.

We are upgrading areas in our playground. We added new rocks to make a platform and some statues.

We added some plants and a Buddah statue.

The water tank goes in with some small rocks for exploration.

Using the provisions of blocks and people- our three creative kids created a house together.

Using the provisions of the skipping rope our three friends invented a playground skipping game.

Using the provisions of cardboard boxes out two friends here and below became robots. Boxes created endless opportunities for the children to use in imaginative ways.

Using the provisions of the outdoor planks, the boats were added to the sand pit. The children had fun filling up their buckets and making the boats sail down the board. The more water the faster they went.

Using the provisions of the wooden blocks and zoo animals our Architect has created an enclosure for her giraffe. She realised that she had to have her giraffe enclosure tall because " Lyn they have big necks" she said.

Our two Architects created an enclosure for their animals and a workshop at the back of the zoo. The enclosure on the front left had lions inside. The taller one the giraffes and then there were the rhinos.

Using the provision of the skipping rope we have some fun playing group games.

Exploring using water paint.

Using the provision of the round table - out two explorers discovered that sand can fall under the table through the hole. They make a large pile under their table by pushing the sand through the small hole.

Later they work out how to make the sand fall through in a constant flow by pouring using their hands. They then catch the fall out using the scoop and when it was full then poured again through the hole.

We added the provisions of the outside wooden blocks to the sand pit to see what the children created.

This was their end product. The children then learnt how to jump inside their structure by placing a milk carton at the side of the structure.

During outside play , we added the thin building blocks with the provisions of racing cars and the garage. Here two builders made long roads for the racing cars to speed down the hill.

We added the provisions of the walk boards to the sand to be used with the trucks.

Manipulatives are always added to our outside programme which enables the children to create their own purpose with the materials.

Our Creative Designer created a robot man.

Water play is always available in many forms. We use this opportunity to talk about water conservation.

The is another water play activity. Using the provisions of funnels, jugs and tubes.

The outside cubby is used for dramatic play activities.

We turned the walk boards upside down and filled the turtle with water. The children then made the boats float down the boards into the pool. What fun!!!
