Squad Training is a
continuous and ongoing process.
New members are taken through the State Rescue Board's training program in preparation for their examinations, the successful completion of which leads to their accreditation as Rescue Operators.
Once accredited, members must maintain at least 24 hours effective training every six months. This training is mostly practical, and covers all areas of the squad's operations as Primary Rescue organization for this area.
Squad training is conducted on the third Sunday morning of the month (usually about 4 hours), as well as in the evenings each Wednesday.
