New Member Tips etc.

Children under 7 cannot race but can ride in a non-competitive class on a 50cc Div 1 Bike.  Training is not compulsory for these riders.

All other Junior riders must do 5 hrs Training before their first race and then each year until they go to Seniors (usually at 16 years of age.)
There is a log book system, called Kick Start to record Training, Suspensions and Medical Clearances etc following incidents.  Training must be relevant to the Race Class and Bike Size so more than one training Session per year may apply some years.

To race at a Club Day Event for Prizes and Annual Trophies One must:
be a Club Member
have a National or One Meeting Licence (currently $44.00)
pay the relevant Nomination Fee on the Day
have their Bike and Helmet pass Machinery Inspection
have approved race # on bike (front & both sides)

National Licences are usually cheaper if riding frequently.
the various options are on this link
http://www.mqld.org.au/index.php?id=275

Nomination & Bike Inspection is from 8:00am on Race Days with Practice Starting about 9:15am and Racing about 10:30am.  We try to finish by 4:00pm.

Flag Marshall are needed at race meetings and parents are asked to do at least one of three approximate 2 hr Sessions.
A Working Bee is held on the Saturday before each meeting and assistance there is appreciated.

Training can be done by various qualified Trainers (See below)
