Welcome
to the results of Vote Count and presentation night held on Friday
19th September at Wagga Commercial Club. There was a big crowd on hand to
watch the presentation of the 2008 awards and the awards went to the following
players in their grades were:
CLUB
AWARDS
Life Membership
Paul Gillett (300 games) and Ray Gow (for being on the committee for twenty
years).
Waring Family
Endeavour Award to non-contracted players (trip to AFL grand final) Chris Gow
(third year in a row) and Adam McKenzie
Best Non-playing
Clubman (John Meyers Perpetual) Steve and Lorraine Shipway Steve looked
after the ground and done the scoreboard at most home games; Lorraine washed and
fixed the jumpers each week and added emblems when they were required to the
jumpers.
SPECIAL AWARDS
Balls for
keeping Both Shane Lenon and Brendan Barrett received the premiership balls;
Brad Aiken for his 500th goal;
Golden Boot
Clint Renner for kicking 129 goals for the season
