We first saw a Goldstream Crown in Palm Valley in Northern Territory in our Red Centre trip in 2006. After looking at the camper and talking to the owners about their experience with it we started looking in earnest not only at the Goldstream but at other similar types of campers. We looked at all the options at the Sydney Caravan and Camping Supershow at Rosehill Racecourse in 2007 and then we went through it all again in 08. The Goldstream was ordered through the NSW Agents "Parravans" at the Sydney Caravan and Camping Supershow at Rosehill Racecourse in 2008. We picked up the Camper in August 08 just in time to take off on our Maiden Voyage on 2 September 08.

Our Maiden voyage was to see the southern half of Western Australia. See the story here.

Our next big trip was to the Kimberley's in WA. We travelled through western NSW and Western Qld then a little bit of the centre of NT and into WA. We came home via the Tanami Desert, Alice Springs, Port Augusta and Mildura. See the story Kimberleys Trip 2010 here (The story is still being written)

Extra's we had put on the Camper
  1. Same wheels and tyres as tow vehicle
  2. Independent Suspension
  3. Electric water pump
  4. Exterior water tap from the tank put on the draw bar
  5. Mixer tap in kitchen. Turn one way = Tank water. Other way = Mains water
  6. Battery Pack
  7. Outside table
  8. Fiamma Awning
  9. Galvanised floor
  10. Paint and textile protection
  11. Attachments for Trail-A-Mate Caravan Jack

Are we happy with the camper? You bet we are. Our maiden voyage was 13,331 kilometres without any problem at all.
It is really easy to put up and even easier to pack up.

How about the Goldstream company I hear you ask? There were a couple of minor issues when we picked up the camper. When we returned from our Western Australia trip I contacted the agent, Parravans, and arranged for them to service the van and also pointed out these minor problems. There was no argument, or dissent, they just booked the camper in and did all of the jobs I requested at no cost to me. This is very different from the attitude of the manufacturers of our previous camper
