OVERVIEW

I have been in the hospitality industry since leaving school in 1972. From a beginning at a Cessnock cafe I moved through kitchen hand, bar, DJ and entertainment manager at some of Newcastle's leading nightclubs and restaurants to becoming chef and manager at a couple of London's most popular eateries.

Along the way I have indulged my other passions - singing and wine appreciation - often in part-time employment.

On returning from London in 1991 I concentrated on wine knowledge and working the vineyards near my native Bellbird. Along with performing musically with my husband Les in "Tucan" duo, this has been my main occupation since.

I am self motivated while still being a good team worker and have often been appointed team leader. I feel confident that I would be of particular value to the operation of any firm operating in the food and/or wine industries and the hospitality industry in general.

I have managed our small musical business for the past 15 years.
