BIO
Contact with the Christian Reformed movement particularly in the developments in Christian philosophy spearheaded by Herman Dooyeweerd, Professor of Law at the Free University, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, led to my involvement with an Australian scholarly group organised to develop a new type of scholarly activity subject to the Word of God.The inspiration of this group led me into further academic training first in education and then in educational psychology resulting in Master's and PhD research in counsellor training. I became a registered psychologist in the state of Victoria in 1989 and finished my PhD in 1992.
I began practising as a psychologist in 1992 and then taught in counselling and psychology fields from 1995 to 2007 at Tabor College, a tertiary Christian College originating from the Pentecostal tradition.
In 2008, I returned to counselling practice as a private practitioner and continue to be interested in Christians working together to express the Christian faith in psychotherapy using the ideas of Herman Dooyeweerd.
