Here are some screen-grabs of my avatar (with backgrounds edited out).
I started with a generic female template to build the basic avatar, then made some simple accessories, starting with the capsules (which are just cylinders) then the arm-PDA (made from half a cylinder and two rectangular prisms). Since then, much tweaking of face-shape and the addition of flexi-prim hair have happened. The steel collar on my neck was found lying around on the ground in my first VR session ever (back in SecondLife) and I am quite attached to it. It has nothing to do with BDSM (not that I have a problem with BDSM, it is just the collar is unrelated).
I made some body armour. It was inspired by (but not intended to be an exact copy of) the female body armour in the movie GI Jo (the most surprising thing about this movie is that I actually enjoyed it). While I screenshot this in the Impact world, it is not cannon - I can think of no credible reason (so far) why or how a spacewrecked engineer from a colony ship would have a suit of moulded combat armor.
