General Notes: John Norris was an extremely wealthy man. When John died in 1839 his Will bequeathed his estate directly to his grand-children, "in trust". He bypassed his own children altogether and no reason for this is known.
However, a large portion of skulduggery was afoot somewhere because none of the estate ever reached the grand-children and the finger of suspicion pointed strongly in the direction of the Executors. Whatever happened remains a mystery.
