When we travel we are often exposed to scenarios with which we are unfamiliar.  This shift in perspective can lead to long-lasting impacts upon our lives changing the course of our knowledge, values, attitudes and behaviour.  This is transformative travel.

A particular interest of this project lies in investigating how the new perspectives offered by travel/tourism alter a travellers interaction with their economic, socio-cultural and natural environments.
