History: Echidnas are wonderful animals and all those spikes
are great fun to draw... in not a little mind-boggling at times!
This work was created by first laying down areas of line work in water soluable
graphite, then washing back this with water
creating lovely soft tones. Once dry, color pencil and graphite pencil was
worked over the top to define and enhance
the shapes of the fur and spikes. The ants were added in graphite (just for
fun!)
