History: This year (2011) in Australia we have had record
breaking rains resulting in an explosion of
mosquitos and consequently the damsel and dragon flies that hunt them. These
beautiful Golden Emperor dragonflies have been hovering
about in my backyard all summer. They have been drawn using
mixed media of watercolour, watercolour pencil, graphite pencil and metallic
pencil.
