History: Featured on the cover of 'Drawing
Made Easy - Lifelike Animals' this work required a fair bit of searching
around for a koala
in exactly the right position to photograph and sketch. Eventually
a perfectly posed animal was found, but like most koalas, he was fast asleep.
But a good
wildlife artist should study the animal and be able to correct a small thing
like closed eyes! This work is currently on exhibition at the
Flinders Fine Art Gallery.
