History: Every year in my local park, this Willie Wagtail and her mate raise a brood of chicks in the same ti-tree. Her nest is a beautiful construction built dangerously close to a footbridge and hovering over the pond - kids whiz over the bridge on their bicycles never noticing her - and the local night heron keeps a beady eye on the nest hoping for mishaps. This year he got William, but Will and Bill happily reached adulthood.
