On mine:
1. Not sure of colour
3. White with blue fleck
7. Two wires white with red fleck
8. Single wire

Sorry on the old braided wires are hard to see the colours

Terminal 1 is on the left of photo. When the switch is at terminal 1 the switch is off

I think maybe you are missing a wire or two at the switch.

On most of the circuit diagrams there seems to be the following wires at the switch.

*Power wire coming from the voltage regulator - 12v all the time.
*a wire (or 2 wires in the same terminal) runs from the switch to the rear tail-lights and the other to the dash lights. (In Timmys photo that's probably the double wired plug)
*a wire runs to the front park lights
*a wire runs to the High/Low beam switch then on to the headlights.

Is there a chance that a wire/s has disappeared up the conduit or just gone missing. Perhaps thats why you have tail-lights but no head lights.

It's tricky because someone has rewired the car. I'm guessing at the switch you've got the Blue as the power (as you said before), one of the others is the maybe the tail lights and another is maybe the instruments lights, ....but you are missing the one that leads to the hi/low beam switch and possibly the one that goes to the front parkers.

Do you still have the Hi beam dip switch on the floor? and if you do, what wires/colours are they?
