MCC NSW have made some changes in the last few years and it might be different to how you remember?
I know the plate registrar is much less strict on cars then they used to be. In the past cars needed to be very close to original condition, but recently they aren't as concerned on the total originality of the car. If you look at the pictures on the MCC NSW website, there are all different kinds of cars, even a matt black car with no bumpers and green stripes.

He said as long as it has an A-series engine and looks like a mini to a non-car person it should be fine. You can see the list here:
http://www.miniclub.com.au/wp-content/u ... 2.2014.pdfWith regards to going to 3 events a year, that isn't too tricky, two of them are in the Illawarra:
The annual plate inspection picnic at Mt Kiera
Gerringong Christmas parade
Then you just need one more, like the All British Day
All the MITG events are listed on their website, anything on CMC website is OK to go to as well. I don't know if these count toward the three events or not, but they are on the calendar on the web and in the magazine.
