Iron Pot Rally via the Lockyer Vally

Any list member can nominate a ride that they are organising or just going on for inclusion on this list. When nominating, please include as much detail as possible (remember you are the Co-ordination) Email to RTO and allow as much lead time as possible! You should include; 1) Meeting Times & Dates 2) Route details, map info,  (whet our appetites!) 3) What's on / will happen at the destination 4) Your contact details (e-mail, mobile etc) Going to a Ride?  Remember these details are flexible and at the discretion of each organiser.  So, once you have read it here, contact them direct or via the email list if you have a global question.

SAPPHIRE RALLY GATHERING - Date 8-10 June 2001 Meeting on Friday Night in Tenterfield (QLD Riders).   Venue either Royal or Exchange hotel.  Then by a route yet to be devised to Warialda.  OR Meet for Lunch at the pub at Grantham (22km East of the Rally) OR   meet at the site!

IRON POT RIDE - Date October / November 2001 (tba)
Run to Iron Pot Rally (in Herries Range 30km SW or Warwick). 
FOR Bris riders meet a Gailes Roadhouse 8:30 for 9:00. 
Going via the Lockyer Vally, Forest hill, Kowalski's Hill, Little Berlin, West Haldon, Allora etc.

BORDER RUN - Date 4 August 2001
Not strictly an adventure run, but it could be by riding the railway line to get there!  Meeting on Sat afternoon at Border Village on the SA / WA Border.  To get a badge you must go back the way you came.   5000km Loop from Brisbane have your own 'IronBut Ride'

CRACOW RUN - Date October / November 2001 (tba)
Run to Cracow and back taking in Isla Gorge.   Cracow pub is now owned by Fred Brophy and is the home of the last country show boxing troupe in OZ.  Plan is to leave Gailes Roadhouse 6Pm Friday night & leggit via the Brisbane Valley Highway to the Hotel Cecil in Wondai.  Saurday we follow the Safari Route  to Cracow.   Stay in pub or camp in bi-centennial park.  Sunday has a range of return paths - Isla Gorge is there for the viewing if you head south.

TIBOOBURRA GATHERING OF ADVENTURERS - Date October 2001 (tba)
The third annual gathering of the Oz Adventurers!  At the family hotel in Tib.
Plus there will a rememberance gathering of northbound riders for Andy Judd at Packsaddle on the Frtiday night prior.
