| HEBEL 1/2 between Dirrinbandi & Lightning Ridge QLD/NSW Border |
This Pub should be in 'Ned & his Neddy'. Quant aint the word, Great food - cold beer. By now they can offer 'donga' rooms over the road (cant vouch for these) Having a beer at the hitching rail is different too. (RTO) |
| ISISFORD 60Km West of Blackall & 70Km South of Ilfacombe QLD |
This Pub was the first to offer
'silver service' outside of Sydney in the 1860's. The "Clancy of the
Overflow" hotel offers excellent fare, choice of accomodation tariffs from ringer
grasde to B&B luxury. Olde worlde charm, friendly host etc Very motorcycle
focussed. (Rick & RTO & McArgle & &....) |
| Macksville
(Mid North Coast NSW - 113km N of Port Macquarie) |
The Star Hotel at Macksville is a delightful place to stop, sit on the verandah step, with a mineral water or a 'Schooner of Old' and watch the world go by! you are facing the Nambucca River & can watch the highway traffic coming over the old bridge. Though I have not stayed there I can reccommend the 'Counter Attack' (meal) and there is always a good band on Friday nights. (RTO) |
| NARRABRI (North Central NSW) |
Accomodation is $15.00 a night can be found ar "The CLub Hotel". The bikes are locked up with in a steel gate in the hotel undercover area. (Max) |
