The Nimbin Town Hall is actually the Nimbin School of Arts building. Nimbin's first public building officially opened on 16 September 1904 and gave the community a cultural centre.

The historic School of Arts building has been used as the village's school, a Presbyterian Church, library and picture theatre and even a hospital during the Spanish Influenza after World War 1.

Today the Nimbin Town Hall is a jewel in the crown of Nimbin's internationally admired Hippy culture and serves as centre stage for many of the area's finest culuitral events.
