Conditions of Entry

Please read terms and conditions below – these form part of your condition for entry to the annual Nimbin Film Festival.

EXCERPTS/COPIES: By submitting to the Nimbin Film Festival you agree that the festival may use up to 30 seconds of your film for publicity purposes. The Nimbin Film Festival may also make a copy of films that are selected to screen for exhibition, judging (nominated films may go out to interstate jury) and may also be used for media review purposes.

PRE & POST FESTIVAL SCREENING EVENTS: Occasionally Nimbin Film Festival will organise a 'taster' event in our region showing some of the entered films, and also show selected films from current and previous festivals AFTER the Festival for promotion purposes. By entering Nimbin Film Festival, filmmakers agree to be part of these events as described above.

RIGHTS: The person submitting the film to the Nimbin Film Festival must hold appropriate rights to music, actors etc and be able, if required, to produce proof of those rights.

INDEMNITY: The filmmaker and its agents agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Nimbin Film Festival, its board, judges, sponsors and partners, individually and collectively, from all claims and demands, losses, damages, costs and liabilities relating to any films submitted to this festival.

I authorize Nimbin Film Festival, a project of CTC Nimbin Inc. to screen the film listed above, upon the film acceptance into the Nimbin Film Festival 2009. For the purpose of the screenings I authorize Nimbin Film Festival to market the film in whatever manner they see fit. I acknowledge that Nimbin Film Festival holds the screening rights of the above listed film for the Nimbin Film Festival 2009. I confirm that all other rights remain the sole property of myself and/or my nominated production company. I hereby confirm that all material used in the production of the film or video is the original work of myself or my nominated production company, or is work for which I or my nominated production company have obtained with releases, including but not limited to actors, performances and the musical score. I guarantee that I have obtained all the necessary permissions, licenses and clearances to enter this film into the Nimbin Film Festival, and that the film and the screening of the film by Nimbin Film Festival does not infringe the moral and ethical rights including copyright of any third party. I understand that my submission is in no way a guarantee of acceptance into the Nimbin Film Festival, and that nobody representing Nimbin Film Festival has guaranteed my acceptance into the festival prior to this submission.
