Seznámili jsme se někdy na jaře 1969 v Ithace, na Cornell univerzitě, někdejší adrese celebrit kalibru Vladimira Nabokova, Carla Sagana, nejednoho z Nobelových laureátů. Se Škvoreckými kamarádíme dodnes, Mistr Josef je kmotrem našeho potomka, já byl u zrodu jejich nakladatelství 68 Publishers. Tuze se tehdy dumalo, zda do počínání tak náročného, riskantního, se vůbec pustit.

We need your Support
"Noviny" is fortnightly Czech and Slovak newspaper published regulary from July 1999 every second Tuesday and send around the Australia and New Zealand to subscribers.
Czech and Slovak students are able to pick up our newspaper free from their student agencies.
Noviny has 16 tabloid pages (A3 = 29cm x 40.5 cm) black and white and is published in three languages: Czech, English and Slovak.

Rozhodnutí absolutně nezohledňuje počty českých občanů a krajanů žijících v Austrálii. Podle statistik zde žije 25 tisíc Čechů a Moravanů. Canberra není řešení, je mimo hlavní tranzitní trasy a nikdo nemá důvod tam jezdit. To tady každý ví. Počet krajanů je navíc v Sydney a okolí nejvyšší.
