The winter course
The second of the winter road races was held on Sunday 14th October. Check the results here.
The first of the winter road races was held on August 12th. Racing went off very well, with no incidents with traffic. Traffic control worked very well, with riders' safety and traffic safety at the front of everyone's mind. The sequencing of starts and distances will need some re-jigging to get finishes happening at more appropriate times. C and D grade both finished prior to A and B Grades commencing their final half laps. General consensus was that the course was tough but a fair test of ability. There were 22 riders altogether, and he results can be seen here.
The route
The route for the winter course has been set up on the bikely site. This route starts at Mullumbimby which is about 20 km from Byron Bay.
