Ghost Tour Report

The 27 parishioners of Richmond set out into the dark streets of Windsor guided by our
hurricane lamps and Janice. People commented that they hadn’t seen Windsor like this
and had lived here all their life. It was interesting to stand in the cellar of the
Macquarie Arms Hotel where the convicts had been housed,
as it was to stand outside the courthouse near where criminals had been executed.
The ghosts kept away as we walked across the graves of revolutionaries and paupers in the Green Hills Cemetery.
After a fascinating walk we finished in the warmth of Trentino’s on George for
coffee and cake. Our thanks to the Parish Council for organising this outing.

Some people mentioned a picnic at the Australiana Pioneer Village would be a good outing.
