Ghost Tour Report

The 27 parishioners of Richmond set out into the dark streets of Windsor guided by our
hurricane lamps and Janice. People commented that they hadn’t seen Windsor like this
and had lived here all their life. It was interesting to stand in the cellar of the
Macquarie Arms Hotel where the convicts had been housed,
as it was to stand outside the courthouse near where criminals had been executed.
The ghosts kept away as we walked across the graves of revolutionaries and paupers in the Green Hills Cemetery.
After a fascinating walk we finished in the warmth of Trentino’s on George for
coffee and cake. Our thanks to the Parish Council for organising this outing.

Some people mentioned a picnic at the Australiana Pioneer Village would be a good outing.

Celebrating 150 years of

Faith and Education

Many joined in the celebration of our faith community

sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ as we remembered

our forebearers and the journey that has brought us this far.

Inspired by the Prayers and Faith of Saint Monica

and the leadership of Saint Gregory,

may we continue to nurture the seeds of

faith and education here in the Hawkesbury.


Book $25 - a collection of historical documents and personal stories of 150 years of Faith and Education at St. Monica’s.

A special edition envelope and stamp $5

Sr Maureen's Farewell Morning Tea

Sr Maureen concluded her ministry within the parish at the end of her contract on 31 January 2009. 

All were invited to a special morning tea on 1 February 2009, following 9:30am Mass to thank Sr Maureen for her ministry.
