A very early postcard, showing very few houses around the Lake.
I think the cleared area in centre left is the Timber Mill.

Another early postcard. I can't figure out where it's taken from.

Postcard from the 1970's taken from the big sandhill.

The yellow 1940 Austin 8 which was the family car until 1959.
Note the 'outrigger' attached to the back bumper bar for carrying extra bags of cement etc.
While there was a 'boot door' at the back, it only opened to the spare tyre.
The actual boot space was access from the back seat.
That's probably Lynne Reed.
