Computer disc lessons make learning easy
These Take the Teacher Home CD courses demonstrate every action you need to learn on your own computer screen.
Easy Computing (Aust) Pty Ltd has created DVD training kits which are ideal for seniors. The programs are called Take the Teacher Home. The first program is a home training kit demonstrating - through Windows Media Player - the basics of computing. There are versions for use with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. A further set of training programs - called Mini Books is also available for all operating systems. These programs are simply a book -on - screen which explains how a computer works and how to set up an email account using Google's Gmail. In addition there is also a new program explaining the use of Photo Story 3, which allows you to turn your old photos into memorable videos.
Big arrows appear on your monitor to point you in the right direction as your teacher's commentary gives you clear instructions on how to operate your mouse and keyboard whether you are learning basic computer skills in either XP, Vista or exploring the web and understanding email with the Internet course. And whenever you want to go back over a point you might have missed, you can simply replay that part of the lesson and watch it again as many times as you like.
The three single disc lessons are designed to be read rather than listening to a voice, but they are much easier to learn from than reading a book.
Throughout these lessons you can learn at your own pace, feeling relaxed and confident as you master each step and discover for yourself that computers are actually easy and logical to understand.
