ON the 29 and 30 September 2012 the extended Tomerong community came together to celebrate 150 years of public education in the village. The weekend was an outstanding success and we would like to extend our thanks to all those who participated. Photographs from the weekend have been placed on our Facebook site (Note- you do not need a Facebook account to see these photographs however you will need an account to place additional photos, information or comments). Follow this link to go to the Tomerong School 150 Facebook Site.

Our appreciation goes to many, including ; the visitors who attended from both far and wide and gave us such positive feedback; the axemen, both local and interstate (the NSW veterans won the title back from Tasmania); our sponsors without whom the event would have been much more difficult; the officials of the formal ceremony; the attendees of the Reunion Dinner especially those who recounted and reminisced on their experiences; the hardworking members of the events, displays, foodstalls and stalls; the children, parents and staff of the School and the Community Organisations that embraced the event (many who work behind the scenes but contribute to all community events); and, of course our P&C. Thank you to all. For the organisers the debrief date is Tuesday 16 October 2012.
