Open Question: IS OPANA ER best for chronic pain?

I live with daily severe chronic pain & am disabled, Have been on so many different prescribed meds in the past 14 yrs, Fentanyl patches, Kadian, Ms-Contin, Morphine, Oxy-contin, Oxy-Codone, NSAID’s, Tramadol, Codiene , Vicodin, Demerol, Neurontin to name a few. For one reason or another I did not like the previous meds & discontinued them after several months.
I am now wanting to live again instead of just survive

Since I stopped Pain Mgt. I am in bed all the time in terrible pain, go out only to doctor appts & grocery store It’s been 7 yrs now and am willing to go back on new Pain Mgt meds. I would love to be able to walk my dogs again.

I have been taking Codiene Sulfate 60 mg 2 tabs @ 4 hrs 12 tabs daily as prescribed & Tramadol 50mg 2 tabs @ 4 hrs 12 tabs daily as prescribed. for 4 yrs. No other meds by my choice.
I can’t take NSAID’s (Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Celebrex, Vioxx) or Tylenol anymore due to damage from taking them in the past.

A doctor told me about OPANA ER (extended release), Said it is a wonderful drug that would be very beneficial to me in combination with the Codiene Sulfate for break through pain. & My Insurance covers it with a co-pay.

Has anyone been prescribed Opana ER? At What doses? How did it work for you? Is there a rapid tolerance? Any info is most welcomed. or if you know of another prescription drug that would help me.
My pain type is very similiar to a labor contraction.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Tramadol HCL 50mg tab prescriptions are common among those with various kinds of pain. They work very differently than many medications, which have made them a popular choice since the late 70s among many medical professionals. There are so many people who don’t like the effect that narcotics have, and therefore would rather live with the pain than to take something that makes them feel weird or take something that doesn’t work. However, tramadol has taken the place in that balance, because it works like an opiate to block pain, but it also has lower risks and fewer side effects, making it more like Tylenol than Morphine.

You can find tramadol HCL 50mg tab prescriptions at your local pharmacy, although this isn’t the best route for those looking to save money or those without insurance. Considering that there are millions of Americans that don’t have health insurance, getting medications and seeing doctors can sometimes be a hard thing to do. However, tramadol can be easily purchased online and for a lower cost in most places, making it a desirable choice for many different people who are looking for a better way to manage their pain. Also, if you need tramadol for your pain, but don’t have a prescription, you can find online pharmacies that have doctors working for them who can review your case and write the prescription if they deem it to be necessary.

The tramadol HCL 50mg tab isn’t the only way that you can buy this medication, either. You can also get 100mg tramadol, and extended release tablets. These options are for those who need stronger pain relief, or those who need 24-hour pain management. If you shop for the brand name medications, you’ll be looking for Ultram and UltramER, which are the brand names for tramadol. However, these will be more expensive because they aren’t generic, so be warned if you are trying to save money.

While there are a few side effects to the tramadol HCL 50mg tab, they’re not nearly as bad as the narcotics that you could be taking. Also, they rarely effect very many people and only include nausea, vomiting, and potential dizziness or drowsiness. In a few instances, patients may have conditions or current prescriptions that can interact with tramadol, but by discussing this with your doctor you can avoid any negative effects or adverse reactions. For the majority of people, tramadol is a great choice for maximum relief with minimal effects.
