Below is an example of a news “feed” from a WordPress blog.
This is just one option that may be useful for you to maintain an up-to-date news page on your school web site.

How do I create a feed from a blog?
1.Create a WordPress blog at www.wordpress.com.
Add a couple of posts, for testing purposes.
You may want to disable Comments in your blog.
2.Go to FeedSweep and enter the feed address of your blog. The feed above uses the Basic FeedSweep option.
eg The feed address format to enter in FeedSweep for a Wordpress blog is:
http://yoursite.wordpress.com/wp-atom.php
Other WordPress feed address options are available at WordPress Feed Info.
3.FeedSweep also gives you a number of other options that will help you match the look and feel of the feed to your site.
4.Copy and paste the code generated by FeedSweep into a Web Widget in iWeb 08, or into the HTML editing page of other web editing software packages, such as DreamWeaver.
If you are using iWeb, drag the height of the enclosing box so that it is tall enough to accommodate the maximum number of posts that you specified in your setup.
5.Publish your site, then add some posts to your blog. Refresh your browser to see the new posts.
There may be a short delay (a few minutes?) after your blog is published, before it is available to your embedded feed.
(Note: Some corporate networks may block access to Web 2.0 sites.)
