Once your site becomes a repository for a large number of photos, it becomes increasingly time-consuming to manage.

If you are using iWeb to edit your site you will find that a large number of photos will increase the time required to re-publish  the site each time you update it.

An alternative is to host your school photos (or have other teachers and faculties host their photos) on an external site, with a slideshow from this site “embedded” in your school’s web site.

As the editor of the school’s main web site, all you need to do is provide a link to the external site.
